Gavin McAtee

I have over seven years of clinical experience serving primarily children & adolescents. I work extensively with families and individuals with issues that are within my scope of practice. To best support my clients, I have extensive assessment training in mental health and learning disabilities diagnosis as well as autism testing & screening. In addition, I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

I have been involved with children & adolescents for over fifteen years as a coach, teacher, and psychologist. A strong interest of mine is supporting families struggling with communication, conflict, and problem solving. Another interest is supporting adults/children with ADHD, Autism (Aspergers), and executive functioning issues.

My therapeutic approach focuses on helping you find answers, identify solutions, and learn new skills to address "gridlocked" life issues. I focus on helping you and your family move towards a more rich, full, and meaningful life. My mission is to help you feel understood, empowered, and supported.
